Privacy Policy for toodoo

Information handled by the app

When you create a task, toodoo stores the task title, planned date, completion state, creation date, and last-updated date in the app's local database on your device. For recurring tasks, it also stores the recurrence rule, series identifier, calendar anchor, and occurrence links. This information is used only to provide the task-planning features you request.

With a verified Toodoo Plus subscription, the app automatically synchronizes the same task data to your private iCloud database when your iCloud account and network are available. There is no separate in-app sync switch. Free planning remains local. Sync is not used for advertising or analytics and does not create a toodoo account.

The app stores a one-way hash of the first iCloud account identifier used for sync locally, to prevent accidentally uploading an existing plan to another account. This value is not sent to the developer.

If you enable Calendar mirroring, the app requests Calendar permission and writes task titles and planned dates as all-day events in a Toodoo calendar. Events contain an opaque task identifier so the app can find them again. Calendar event mappings and recovery identifiers are stored locally. Calendar events may sync through the account that provides your selected calendar, according to your Apple Calendar settings. The developer does not receive them.

If you enable reminders, the app requests notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device for an optional daily summary and optional per-task times. The reminder time you choose for a task is stored in the app's local database on your device. Reminders are delivered entirely on-device: they do not use a server, push service, or network connection, are never synced to iCloud, and the developer does not receive them.

Data collection and sharing

The developer does not sell or share task data, and does not use it for advertising, analytics, or tracking. The app does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking technology, third-party software development kits, or a developer-operated server. Optional iCloud Sync uses Apple's CloudKit service and the user's private iCloud database.

Device backups

Your device operating system may include app data in a device backup according to your Apple settings. Those backups are provided and controlled by Apple, not by the developer of toodoo.

Data deletion

You can delete individual tasks in the app. When iCloud Sync is enabled, task deletions are synced to your private iCloud database. The app retains task identifiers and deletion timestamps locally and in private iCloud deletion records to prevent an offline device from bringing deleted tasks back. These records contain no task title or other task content and do not expire automatically. Calendar cleanup is retried when mirroring is active and access is available; removing the app does not remove existing Calendar events. Uninstalling toodoo removes local app data from the device, subject to any device backups and iCloud storage you control through Apple services.

Support communications

If you contact toodoo Support by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message. We use that information only to respond to your request.

Children's privacy

toodoo does not knowingly use task data for advertising, analytics, or tracking for children or any other user.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that version is released.
